1. Introduction

Vinesha's Mane Attraction ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information. By using our website and booking platform, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

When you use our website and appointment scheduling system, we may collect the following types of personal information:

  • Full name — to identify you and personalize your experience
  • Email address — to send appointment confirmations, reminders, and important updates
  • Phone number (including mobile) — to send appointment-related SMS messages (with your consent) and to contact you about your appointment
  • Payment information — credit/debit card details processed securely through Stripe; we store only the last four digits and card brand
  • Appointment details — selected services, add-ons, date, time, and any notes you provide
  • Account information — if you create an account, your login credentials and profile data

2.2 Information Collected When Scheduling an Appointment

When you schedule an appointment through our booking system, we collect:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number
  • The services and add-ons you select
  • Your preferred appointment date and time
  • Any special requests or notes you include
  • Payment method information (processed via Stripe)
  • SMS consent information, if provided (see Section 8 below)

3. Phone Numbers and Email Addresses

We collect your phone number and email address to communicate with you about your appointments. Email is used for confirmations, reminders, cancellation notices, and follow-up communications. Your mobile phone number may be used to send SMS text messages related to your appointment, but only if you have provided explicit consent to receive such messages (see Section 8).

We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Schedule, confirm, and manage your appointments
  • Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and scheduling updates via email and SMS (with consent)
  • Process payments for services and deposits
  • Notify you of cancellations, rescheduling, or changes to your appointment
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • Maintain records of your appointment history and preferences
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud
  • Improve our services and platform functionality

We do not use your appointment-related SMS consent to send advertising, promotions, coupons, or other marketing messages. Marketing SMS requires separate consent.

5. How Information Is Stored and Protected

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your data is stored on secure servers managed by our platform provider. Payment information is processed and tokenized by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor — we do not store full credit card numbers on our systems.

While we implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but strive to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

6. Sharing of Information with Third-Party Service Providers

We share your information with third-party service providers only as necessary to operate our business and deliver services to you. These providers include:

  • Stripe — processes payments and securely stores payment method tokens
  • Twilio — sends SMS text messages related to your appointments (only with your consent)
  • Resend — sends transactional emails such as confirmations and reminders
  • Our platform hosting provider — stores application data and serves the website

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and are prohibited from using it for their own marketing purposes. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

SMS and Mobile Information Exception

Notwithstanding the foregoing, mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and text messaging consent will not be shared, sold, rented, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile information may only be disclosed to service providers that assist us in delivering our messaging services, such as our SMS platform provider, and only to the extent necessary to provide those services.

All other categories of information sharing described in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

7. Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your browsing experience, analyze traffic, and understand how visitors use our platform. Cookies are small files stored on your device. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the website may not function properly without them.

We may use analytics tools to collect aggregate, non-identifying data about usage patterns. This data does not personally identify you and is used solely to improve our services.

8. SMS / Text Messaging Data

If you provide consent during the appointment booking process, we may send SMS text messages to your mobile phone number. These messages are strictly appointment-related and may include:

  • Appointment confirmations
  • Appointment reminders
  • Scheduling updates
  • Cancellation notices
  • Other appointment-related communications

We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Message frequency: You may receive approximately 1–8 SMS messages per appointment, varying based on appointment status changes (e.g., confirmation, reminders, updates, and cancellation notices).

Message and data rates may apply. You are responsible for any messaging charges from your mobile carrier.

Supported keywords: Reply STOP to opt out and unsubscribe, HELP for support and additional information, or START to resubscribe after previously opting out.

Your SMS consent is voluntary. Providing a mobile phone number and consenting to receive SMS messages is not a condition of any purchase or service. Your SMS consent is recorded with your appointment record and includes the date, time, phone number, the full text of the consent disclosure you accepted, and the source of consent. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Opting out of SMS does not cancel your existing appointment — please use another method to contact us regarding your appointment.

For full SMS terms, please see our Terms & Conditions.

9. Your Privacy Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion — You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Opt-out of SMS — You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message
  • Withdraw consent — You may withdraw your SMS consent at any time by contacting us
  • Restriction — You may request that we limit the processing of your information in certain circumstances

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in Section 11. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Appointment records and consent information may be retained for a period consistent with legal and regulatory requirements.

11. Contacting Us About Your Information

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information. Material changes will be posted on this page.

By using our website and booking platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection and use of your information as described herein.
